This notice explains what information Hands Free Socials collects through handsfreesocials.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Hands Free Socials is a trading name of NP Consulting, a sole trader business based in Scotland. NP Consulting is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

When you fill in our intake form

Your name, email address and, if you give it, phone number, plus the details about your business you choose to share: brand name, industry, website, audience, tone of voice, platforms, social handles, goals and any notes.

When you visit the site

• Hosting and performance data. Our host, Netlify, records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to run the site and keep it secure, and measures page speed without using cookies.
• Fonts. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address.
• Visitor identification (only if you accept cookies). With your consent, we use Leadsy to identify businesses and business contacts visiting our site, so we can follow up with people who have shown interest in our services.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and set up your service. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract.
• To run and secure the website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure site.
• Visitor identification. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the button below.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to our services.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the business. They process data on our behalf and only as we instruct:

• Netlify: website hosting and form storage
• Make.com: automation that moves your intake form into our systems
• Airtable: where we keep client and project records
• Google: web fonts and email
• Leadsy: visitor identification, only with your consent

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we work together and then for up to six years afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. If you enquire but don't go ahead, we delete your enquiry within two years. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Cookies

The site works without cookies. The only cookie-based tool we use is Leadsy's visitor identification, and it only loads if you click Accept on our cookie banner. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask again on every visit.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@handsfreesocials.com and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
